We are witnessing traffic jams across all the cities in the world. Some people say that increasing prices of petrol will help in reducing traffic jams and pollution. Do you agree or disagree? Also, give other possible solutions. (IELTS Writing Task)

Nowadays, the traffic jam problem has increased so much in urban areas that it takes much more time than the ideal time for travelling. Sometimes due to traffic problems, many people got late to work.

Also sometimes traffic jam can lead to death due to the delay caused to the ambulance taking the critical patient to the hospital. Though advance in the medical field has decreased the chances of death in recent times; the patient if not taken to the hospital at the right time, the person may die.

Few people say that the rise in the prices of petrol will reduce the traffic jam, but raising the prices of petrol can lead to many other negative effects. It can somehow directly or indirectly affect the economy of the country.

Most of the common people use public transportation for travelling. Somehow they manage to buy a two-wheel bike or four-wheel car which they can use rarely; whereas the people who are rich will have no problem with the price rise. Due to the rise in the price of petrol, the common man will have to suffer.

If the prices of petrol get increased, the truck drivers or the company who transports the vital items like vegetables, fruits, etc. will have to pay high prices. Thus the sellers will also have to pay high prices for buying the items. Thus it will be again a curse on common people.

In place of all these things campaign should be done, awareness should be brought to the people for walking, mostly using public transportation or cycle for nearby transport. Also, some rules and regulations can be made which control the traffic in an easy and better way.

Traffic jam is not an issue which can be easily solved. It needs to be taken seriously and some strict actions need to be taken on it.

Nitrogen Gas Cycle - IELTS Writing Task

The given diagram shows the production, decomposition, and process occurring in the nitrogen gas cycle.

The nitrogen gas produced through the fixation by lighting and plants. The fixation gets converted to ammonium. The gas is converted into different compounds like ammonium, nitrite, and nitrate after decomposition from the dead plants and animals

The nitrate produced from the different two methods gets converted and can be consumed in the form of proteins. Also, it can be converted to gaseous nitrogen through denitrification.

Again the cycle continues from there. The gaseous nitrogen gets fixation by lightning and plants. The animals which have consumed the proteins get decomposed and the cycle continues non-stop.

Coffee & its processing - Ielts Writing Task

In the above given figure the making of coffee & its processing is shown. The above left figure shows the bean of the coffee from inside.

There is a covering which covers the seed & the pulp of the coffee bean, whereas the dry coffee beans or powder which we get from the market is shown differently downside which consists of four steps process.

Firstly pulping is done on the whole coffee beans in pulping machine which is then sent to the tank for the fermentation. Then after fermenting the process of washing is done on it. Then after when it is dried in the open sunlight along with the hot air provided with the help of fans for getting the final product. Thus it can be said that for obtaining the final product of coffee consists four steps process.

Essay topics: The diagram gives information about the process of making pulp and paper. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant. (IELTS Writing Task)

In the above-given figure, it is shown how the pulp & paper is made from the wood of the trees.

For making pulp & paper, the first few steps are repetitive as cutting the trees into logs & then chipping it into pieces or else chips can also be purchased from the market for the further process. Then the pulp is extracted in the digester & cleaned through washers. It is then forwarded to the pulp screen for screening which means cleaning. Until this step the process is same for both the pulp and the paper.

Then the clean pulp is bifurcated & can be used for making pulp or paper. The process like forming, drying, reeling, cutting & sales are involved in making the pulp. Whereas for making paper rolls the steps are - cleaning, drying, pressing of pulps, pressing of paper, drying & at last paper rolls are obtained.

Thus for obtaining pulp & paper the trees are used which results in harming the environment.

Nowadays the way many people interact with each other has changed because of technology. In what ways has technology affected the types of relationship people make? Has this become a positive or negative development? (IELTS Writing Task)

According to me, it can be said that the way people communicate with each other now has changed drastically as compared to an earlier time. In the earlier time, it was time taking task for communication between two different people; the people used to communicate through writing letters or talking face-to-face by travelling a long distance. As at that time there was also no proper facilities for transportation faster, resulting in taking much time for travelling from one place to another. Whereas in recent time the technology has been so advanced that one can talk with another person very easily & in very less time. There is the availability of telephones, the internet, mobile phones, etc. through which one can talk with another person by roaming also. Also, there has been an increased in the usage of messaging applications. The conversation can take place between two-person through instant messaging. There can also be set up of video calling through which two-person can talk by seeing each other.

It can be said that due to the advance in technologies, it is easier to make a friend from any corner of the world nowadays. As there are many social sites available through which one can easily connect with the other person who is staying miles away. They can chat, voice call and also can see each other through the internet. Sometimes talking with the virtual friend, getting much more engaged, decreases the time we spent with the real friends, family members, who are really next to us. We can get so much busy in talking on the social sites, that we may forget that we are having a real-life to be lived. Also according to the study & research, it is said that more time on the internet can lead to depression or loneliness, which directly or indirectly affects the real relationships which are widely prevailing in the real world.

There are both positive as well as a negative development in the relationship due to the advance in technologies. In a few cases, it brings positive development such as easily connecting with strange people, making new friends, etc. Whereas it can lead to slight negative development as compared to positive development. For example, the person who is spending more time on the internet can lead to several problems, it can make the person lazy, etc. Thus it can be said that technology has its own positive as well as a negative development.

IELTS Writing Task

The given charts describe the cost that the school spends as expenditure on different things like for example teachers, salaries, furniture & equipment, books, etc. in the UK. The comparison can be made between three different years with a gap of containing 10 years - 1981, 1991, 2001.

In 1981, school spending money on teacher's salaries is almost half of the whole spending which is 40%, whereas other workers salaries, resources example - books & furniture & equipment comprise of almost equal percentage to be spent by the school; whereas the insurance comprises of very low that is only 2% of the whole chart. In 1991, total school expenditure on teachers' salaries has become exact half that is 50% of the whole. The other workers' salaries & resource example book is having almost equal proportion, whereas the furniture and equipment has a drastic decrease from 15% to 5% only. The insurance cost has been almost equal to in 1981 which is 3%. In 2001 every category has been evenly distributed except the same as the teachers' salaries which comprises of 45% in whole. The other categories are evenly distributed having less gap in between them.

Thus it can be concluded that in the every given year that is 1981, 1991, & 2001 the teachers' salaries has been importantly considered of which covers almost or exactly half of the proportion of the total school spending the money on given fields; whereas the insurance has been less taken care of.

IELTS Academic Writing Task 1

There is given percentage of the students who leaves the school for gaining higher education. 14% of students leave school in 1987, whereas in 2007 it has increased to 35%. The chart given compares the employment in between two distinct years i.e. 1987 & 2007 with a gap of 20 years.

It can be said from the chart that in 1987 the three types were evenly distributed, whereas the earning more than double the national average was the highest that is 46%; whereas in 2007 earning more than & less than national average has divided almost equally & partitioned the total percentage.

Thus it can be said from the comparison that the unemployment up to some extent depends on the students leaving the school for higher education. As there is a decrease from 11% in 1987 to 3% only in 2007, but the earning more than double national average has decreased with time from 18% in 1987 to 5% in 2007.
